Established in the late 90's with a successful attempt to break the World Record for the most people on a cycle, The Fumair Flyer with its 24 seats has raised tens of thousands of pounds for good causes. 2005 saw the addition to the fleet of "JUNIOR" with 16 seats. These two bikes are amazing fundraising and awareness tools, providing a fresh and innovative approach. Both Bikes are designed to grab as much attention from passers-by and the media as possible. The Fumair Flyer Advertising Space There is a large area above the bike from which a double sided banner can be attached. See pictures of it in the gallery. Size of banner is 3.8m x 0.8m. We suggest making the banner 25mm smaller than these measurements to ensure a taught sign. There are eyelets for attaching the banner in each corner as well as every 18". The banner is suspended in a frame so make sure it is double sided! Other Important Details Each pedal station is individually geared. This means individual riders can "free wheel" if they need a rest. The minimum height for riders is 5' 2" The minimum age for riders is 10 years. Our team is fully insured. The bikes come with 2 members of staff and a support vehicle. You must have one of our team as your driver during the event. None of the bikes will do steep inclines (hills). A route covering as flat a route as possible is required. The bikes average around 12-15 miles per hour.
